I perused a Van Richten's guide to Ravenloft during 2 and it was interesting reading. I liked D&D taken that way in the Ravenloft thing. Such as the mist traps you in a cursed place until you can preform a specific deed. Van Richten started to explore the land I believe and study the worst cases he could find, such as, eating a brain can cause zombism, things like this. Is Van Richten still around in 3.5?

Fri, December 14, 2007 - 2:25 PMI don't think Ravenloft is still around in 3.5 per se. They have the Heroes of Horrer book that had a lot of good material for running a Ravenloft type game. They also (in Dragon magazine) updated some of the old campaign settings to 3.5 (Dark Sun, Spelljammer, and Ravenloft are the ones I remember). -
