The talk was 4th edition. No one likes it. We have spent allot of money on the 3.5 edition game. My view is to wait and see. At this rate, I can get 3.5 books on the cheap.

Re: D and d meet Up
Sun, August 26, 2007 - 4:27 PMAgreed. I've never played full-price for any of the D&D books I have (mainly from Ebay & Amazon). I know I'm not helping the local hobby stores (well not local for me, the closest is about 25 miles away), but I think all the books are over priced. From what they've shown of 4th edition, I've liked a few things they said. Most of the stuff doesn't sound like D&D to me though. I'll probably leaf through it when it comes out and decide then. I'll be in no hurry though.

Re: D and d meet Up
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 10:46 AMI believe once one gets used to D&D, the real material becomes what the DM writes out. The battle system and magic system are what to remember. But I ask myself, how good is it going to look on a bookshelf? I expect marketers to appease this aspect.
