I was hoping that one of you ST's or players out there could offer a bit of advice. My small group of Four is beginning to have problems all related to the same root....ST burnout. It's a dire case to say the least. As I said before, we have four members, two of which are far too busy to write a good cohesive story, one of which is a total space cadet, and the other (who is nearly always our ST) who wants to play very badly in something not related to a one shot.
So, does anyone know of a good 3.5 module that is:
well layed out
low level
AND
can lead a character to say 8th level?
Any help is appreciated!

Re: Some advise
Mon, October 1, 2007 - 1:44 PMIsle Of Dread comes to mind. A shipwrecked, survival adventure. If they get anywhere, can they even get back to the mainland? Also, there are dinosaurs. Not much treasure but every feat and die rolls would have to be at full force if they got any attention. Maybe some pearls or something around. Soggy treasures, crude instruments. -

Re: Some advise
Thu, October 4, 2007 - 6:25 AMThe Isle of Dread eh? I love the idea of bringing in some Dinosaurs...it's a campy kind of fear! Excellent. I do see this adventure as an old school 1st edition...has it been remade as a third and a half yet?
I'm looking at "The Tearing of the Weave" for my players. It seems interesting enough, and I really like the new form of organization involved in combat. Anyone play this module? -

Re: Some advise
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 10:51 AMI ran "The Red Hand of Doom" for my last Eberron campaign. It's a bit higher than you were looking for (it takes characters from 6th-12th) but it's an excellent adventure. It also fits into any campaign setting (in fact the authors give you ideas where to start it if you run in a published setting). My players enjoyed it as well. It's long but challenging. It's also well set up and it tells you what tactics the monsters use in each encounter. I highly recommend it to you. Hope I helped you some. :) -

Tue, October 9, 2007 - 6:14 AMThanks Kevin, I love that about Amazon. The shipping is more than so many of the books! And yet, it's still usually more than half the price of buying it at a book store! -

Re: Some advise
Wed, October 10, 2007 - 10:30 AMThanks for everyones advise! I did in fact start the Game, using Cormyr: The Tearing of the Weave. It got very good reviews on Amazon (for what it's worth), and I'm using some twists of Lovecraft in it to add spice. Mind Flayers make such sweet villians!
